About the club
Are you a Chevelle and El Camino enthusiast or know someone that is? If you own
‘64-‘77 Chevelles, Malibus, and El Caminos ‘59-‘77, or just have an interest in them,
and are looking for other enthusiasts for a family oriented car club, then Chevelles/El
Caminos of Bakersfield is the club for you. Our purpose is to "Promote fellowship
through the restoration and enjoyment of the classic Chevelle and El Camino."
No matter how many cars are owned you will get a membership in Chevelles/El
Caminos of Bakersfield, and a T-Shirt.
What activities are planned?
There will be car shows, cruises, family BBQ’s at parks, maybe a drive to the local ice
cream shop. Whatever the club decides, it should be a great time to show off our
hard work.
How often do we meet?
Meetings will be held on a regular monthly basis on the 3rd Sunday of each month
at Denny‘s on Rosedale near Home Depot at 6:00 PM.
Can I get advice and support for my Chevelle/El Camino?
Of course. Remember, those who have restored cars often started with project cars.
The experience came from doing the job, sometimes twice.
Do I have to have an award winning car to join?
No. Cars and trucks in our club will range from award winners to the earliest stages of
restoration and many everyday drivers. Our only requirement is that you like
Chevelles and El Caminos.
